Guardian 15,000 Watt Portable Generator
There is only so far you can go with air-cooled portable generators. and Guardian, part of the Generac Group and perhaps better known for their standby generators hold the mantle for the biggest on the market, with powerful 12,500 and 15,000 watt models.
Both model feature Generac's full pressure lubricated, air-cooled twin cylinder OHVI™ engine which are capable of pumping out 18,750 and 22,500 surge watts respectively.
As you would expect at this end of the portable generator market, Guardian units come with almost all extras as standard.
- Every OHVI engine has automatic decompression to reduce the effort required to crank the engine making them easier to start
- No rope pulling with these models, ther're electric start. Automatic ignition timing sets the spark for easy starting and optimum operating performance.
- 16 gallon fuel capacity for longer run time.
- Automatic Voltage Regulation
- Automotive 3-stage air filtration — Protects the engine even in the toughest working environment
- Automotive type spin-on oil filter
- Runs cooler than side valve competitive engines — Because heat is a main cause of engine wear, you can expect three to five times longer engine life, even under the toughest working conditions.
- Heavy duty lifting eye — For transport and security
- Cast iron cylinder liner — Ensures long engine life and low oil consumption
- Low oil pressure shutdown — Prevents engine damage due to lack of lubrication from both low oil and oil breakdown.
- EPA and CARB certified — For low emissions
- Two year limited warranty

Porter-Cable H1000IS-W 10,000 Watt Commercial Grade Generator
This 10,000-watt generator from Porter-Cable features a Honda GX620 commercial engine for heavy-duty use and will supply 19,500 surge watts. Features like overhead valves, cast-iron sleeves, and low-oil shutdown make this engine durable and smoother running. An advanced, brushless alternator design provides longer life, cleaner power, and eliminates brush replacement. The electric start allows effortless starting. A 12-volt battery is also included. An idle control automatically slows the engine speed down when current is not being drawn from the generator, saving gas and extending run time. The convenient console panel houses the switches as well as an hour meter, circuit breakers, and electrical outlets. Outlets include 12-volt DC, 120-volt AC duplex, a 120-volt AC twist lock and 120/240-volt twist lock, and a 240-volt high-power outlet to support a variety of tools and equipment.
